Any dog training starts with basic obedience and builds on those skills.
There are skills you must have or no one will believe your dog is a service dog. Even if you have a dog that is an emotional support dog or a therapy dog, you need to have a dog that is well mannered in public.
Make sure your dog is clean when you’re out in public. Your dog should sit, stand, lay down or walk quietly at your side when you’re in public. When walking, your dog should stay at your side and not pull on the leash.
