Certification

The ADA states in section § 35.136 Service animals part (f) “A public entity shall not require documentation, such as proof that the animal has been certified, trained, or licensed as a service animal.”

Staff cannot ask about the person’s disability, require medical documentation, require a special identification card or training documentation for the dog.   Therefore, no certification is required for a Service Dog.  If your dog is an Emotional Support dog, you will need a letter from a physician.  Some people carry cards that have the Disabilities Act printed.
